Ballet Instructor

As a Ballet Instructor at Moondance Dance School, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for ballet and inspire students of all ages and skill levels. Your role will involve teaching and choreographing ballet routines, fostering a nurturing learning environment, and preparing students for performances and recitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ballet classes for students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Teach fundamental ballet positions, movements, and techniques.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and class structure.
  • Create and choreograph dance routines and variations for performances.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to improve their technique.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and development.
  • Plan and organize rehearsals for recitals and performances.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in the ballet world.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive dance program.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in classical ballet with several years of dance training and performance experience.
  • Previous experience as a ballet instructor or dance educator.
  • Strong knowledge of ballet techniques, terminology, and choreography.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience and a nurturing approach when working with beginners and young dancers.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit various learning styles.
  • A passion for dance education and a commitment to the growth and development of students.

Benefits:

Salary

$30,000 - $90,000 per year
